17%
A University of Wisconsin study of 570 new parents found that it takes bottlefeeding parents about seven weeks and breastfeeding parents about eight weeks to start having sexual intercourse again. The researchers involved in this study also found that only 17 percent of couples who were surveyed reported having sex during one month after childbirth.

sex drive after pregnancy
An expert says:
"A slow-down or even complete cessation of libido is a normal part of the postpartum experience, and is really to be expected. As a woman's hormones plummet after pregnancy, this directly lowers her interest in sex. It may, in fact, take nine months to one year for a return to the pre-pregnancy hormonal status."
A year?!

third trimester
Theres a lot of research and studies that link pregnancy to a progressive decrease in sexual desire. In each trimester sexual desire is less. All women who were tested for these studies said that during the third trimester was that they had less sexual desire. I certainly agree.

enhancing my health
I found this really interesting article online that says that women's health can be enhanced by using the power of:
1) medicine, herbs, and natural hormones;
2) mind to focus on intimacy and move away from negative thoughts;
3) fitness to feel sexy;
4) and diet to improve looks and appearance.
Hmm...I might just put this to the test!
